Effie

A private family organiser, used by one household.

Effie keeps a single family's day-to-day life in one place: a shared calendar, chores and rewards, meal plans and shopping lists. Only members of that household have accounts. It is not offered to the public, and there is no way to sign up.

How Effie uses Google Calendar

A household member can connect the family's own Google account so that its calendars appear in Effie alongside everything else. With that member's permission, Effie:

• reads the list of calendars on that account, and the events in the calendars the household chooses to show;
• adds, changes or removes events in those calendars only when a household member does so in Effie, and only for calendars they have chosen to sync to.

Calendar data is used only to show the household its own calendars and keep them in sync. It is never sold, shared, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. The privacy policy has the detail.

Access can be withdrawn at any time from Effie's settings, or from the Google Account permissions page.
